Since changing the Veccy gearbox oil, I've noticed a high pitched noise - more noticable in 1st and 2nd gears.

Don't think it's a big issue.. when refilling I just the transmission oil the VX stealer gave me, it was only £4 something a litre retail, seems cheap to me, hope it was the right stuff..

That oil in the gearbox had only done about 60k....

Sounds like you maybe bunged the wrong stuff in......whats its say on the bottle?

Sounds like the stuff I put in my Astra's gearbox. Getriebeol / Transmission Oil / Huile Boite de Vitesses 93165290 and it's red and looks like ATF. No problems with mine though .... yet!

Yes, it did look a bit like ATF :-/

I have full faith in the veccy..... I'm planning on taking SWMBO to scotland in it next week, but shhh, it's money permitting, and if we can go, I want to surprise her
