Anyone lend (hire) me a cam locking tool?
« on: 01 August 2007, 17:28:41 »

With a bit of luck, I may find the time to do the cambelt on my 2.6 in the next couple of weeks. I've toyed with the idea of buying a locking kit, but there seems to be some question marks over the cheaper unbranded products and some confusion about the different Sealey ones available (see http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1185899752, and beinga  tight wad I don't fancy shelling out £90 for one anyway.  ;)

So, has anyone got one they could lend/hire me?

PM me if you can help.

Cheers
Nick

You can 'hire' mine including the 30mm spanner you will need (£75 fully refunded when returned as supplied) but with the postal strike you'll be better to collect it and return it in person.

Bought a water pump yet......might as well

Could be up for that, Andy. I've got the 30mm spanner and the kit. Wouldn't need a water pump as car's only done 19k since new.

I'll get back to you mate.  :y

Maybe they can pass it on to me?? Actually, expect a PM from me soon as I have bought a new Vx cruise control stalk and will need it Tech 2'd. BTW, will the auto upgrade be applicable to my Miggy (2002 2.6)?

Cheers

Gearbox upgrade was well worthwhile on my 2002 3.2 so I would imagine so.
