Manifold blow??
« on: 03 August 2007, 21:19:29 »

When i start up my 2.5 Elite from cold all is well no sounds of an exhaust blow. When i blip the throttle it sounds like the manifold blows a bit, is this right or could it be something to do with the EGR system. Also the blowing noise is always there even when hot, never gets louder or quieter either.
Any ideas chaps????

Thought if the Exhaust manifold Gasket was going it just "Ticked" when cold, when it was shot it "Ticked" either when hot or cold :-?

Could be exhaust manifold, EGR valve or air injection. Could also be manifold to downpipe joint.

If manifold gasket is nlowing it is usually towards the rear. It is a weak design and by far the easiets fix is to pop the engine out. :y
