MPG
« on: 03 August 2007, 18:19:16 »

Had to run up to Coventry toady M1/M6 and at an average of 85mph she returned 31.8mpg :)

But round here localy (all the bloody roundabouts) she is sucking 16.8mpg at slow and consertive driving! ::)

Was kinda surprised by this as it goes twice as far at speed on the motorway, than it does snailing it round MK. Thats a drastic difference aint it! ;D

its all down to driving styles.....i get more from the 3.0 than the wife gets from her 2.5cdx.

Rather worried about it i took the 2.5 on a very long run on similar roads/same average spseeds etc - and also managed to get better mpg than the wife...

The trouble with MK is always accelerating or braking, no cruising, thats what sucks the juice.  Mines the same.

MK is a strange city, and its all 70mph dual carrageway (for the most part), with roundabouts every half mile. So it really is accelerating/braking, no cruising at all.

Just thought I would mention that writing on a public forum an admission of speeding may not be the wisest move! Are you sure you wern't doing 69mph after all?
