Wanted: bumper and fittings for 1999 Elite (Black)
« on: 19 September 2010, 20:21:08 »

I need a replacement bumper, passenger side foglight and washer bottle for my 1999 3.0 Mini-Facelift Elite.

I may also need the "front panel" it's fixed to, as that seems a bit bent, and may not straighten out very easily.

Don't know if it needs any other bits and pieces yet - a friend of a friend is going to fix it for me, I hope, and he hasn't dismantled it yet.

After the accident, I rescued the headlamp washer jet, but I seem to have mislaid it now, so I'll probably need one of those as well.

I have a front panel on the bay at the minute, if it doesn't sell you are welcome to it...

I have one foglight (can't remember which side ::) ), and one washer jet and a black front bumper in good condition, apart from the stone chips!

Sounds promising - I should know exactly what we need in the next couple of days.  If you have an offer for them before you hear back from me, let me know - will PM my contact details.

It's only the bumper reinforcer/washer bottle that are on fleabay, the other items are not listed.

Found it - will bid, probably - wouldn't want to miss that!

If you do bid on and win the item then the postage will go towards the rest of the parts.
 :y

By the way my passenger side fog light is smashed, also missing the passenger side washer jet... are the jets interchangeable?

You asked about prices in your p.m. I don't want a fortune, maybe £15 for the bumper, £10 for washer jet... along those sort of lines.
If you need more bits then we will sort something out...

I'm glad to say I won the the eBay auction for the reinforcement bar and washer reservoir.  :) :) Because I was the only bidder, it went for 99p - sorry about that. :( :(

I'll take the bumper as well, please.  I don't think the washer jets are interchangeable, so I'll give that a miss.  I've managed to get a pair of foglights from another OOF member, so I'm OK there.

Have you got all the clips, brackets and bolts for the bumper/reinforcer?

Please let me know how you want me to pay.  I'm happy to pay for the eBay item using the "pay now" link and Paypal, or I can let you have the money any other way, provided it doesn't contravene eBay rules.

I don't know what the delivery costs for the bumper would be, but if it gets too high, it might be better if I come and collect all the stuff in one go.

Sorry but I've already sent you a p.m. earlier when I noticed the name of the winning bidder, I didn't see your reply here until now.
Congrats on 'winning' the auction!! ;D

The delivery charge on flea bay should cover the full cost of posting (or possibly couriering) both the bumper and front panel, I'll make some enquiries to confirm.
Do you need both the reinforcement bar brackets, they mount the bar to the car chassis? If so they are £7.50 each or two for a tenner, let me know if you need one/both.
All the plastic mountings/brackets for the bumper will be included.
If you click the "pay now" link on E-bay and then p.m. me your e-mail address I'll send an invoice for an extra £15-£25, depending on what you need. Is that O.K.? I won't request the money until after I have confirmed postage will be less that the £15 you are paying on E-bay.
Cheers, Rich.

Payment made.

I will take the brackets, because I didn't realise there were any brackets.  I had a look under the car yesterday, just to make sure that I was buying the right part.  Until I saw the pictures on eBay, I didn't realise that the reinforcement bar was a bit curved at the end, so I thought I'd better check.  What I didn't check, though, was where the reinforcer stops and the brackets begin - I thought it was all one piece.  So I'd better have the pair, please, just in case they've been damaged.

I forgot to add a note to the Paypal payment, so e-mail and delivery address follow in a PM.

Thanks a lot.
