I have got an engine to rebuild - At last
« on: 06 August 2007, 13:30:23 »

picked up a breaker last week - R reg 214 si Rover

No head failure - ie no emulsification....

But running on maximum 3 cylinders.

Compression test shows.... 212 / 172 / 212 / 0 ( zero!!)

i knew number 4 was shot as removing the ignition lead made no difference to its lumpy running - ie 4th lead in or out made no preformance issue....

but no compression at all  :o :o

That'll be a valve, then!

If you want a hand changing the valve, and I'm nearby, call me on my mobile! :y
