Its not to bad here, ping times are as follows:

338ms
320ms
315ms
345ms

So what happened, did Mrs The Boy unplug it to do the hoovering?
Mark, can you PM me a traceroute?

The Windows host locked solid, had to power cycle. Then I couldn't get it through POST - no beeps or msgs, just locking. Reseated memory and cpu, still same. Gentle persuation with right foot convinced it to start.  The hardware is about 4yrs old, and I've been worried about it for a while. Time to splash out methinks  :'(

Not to bad about a 6sec pause before page change :-/
Our recent average according to google is 3.1s, but this will be just for main text, not images, so I guess 5 - 6s should be average?

Many ISPs use Redbacks. Horrid OS on them, though may have improved now.

The old server was always going to need replacement at some point (2.6G P4C, 2G RAM), esp with the extra load OOF puts on it.  The way OOF has ramped up made me consider upgrading a few months ago, but I delayed as it is a mammouth job to rebuild the server (several VMs, with Exchange, SQL, several websites, internet serving DNS (around 100 domains), AD etc etc), not a job I am looking forward to.

Just your (local) router to home gateway is appallingly slow - double what mine is, and my line is hammered.
