Engine Numbers
« on: 12 August 2007, 10:14:34 »

Hi,

Good new's, my car's Vin number matches my log book, phew.

On my log book i also found my Engine number 08****03.

Looking at a timing belt, would the below fit my car?

How's does it work, do i have an X30XE engine.

Omega B 1994-03  - X25XE and X30XE engines - Engine Number 08000001 - 08300418

Thanks  ;)

Get under the car and check the actual engine number, which has nothing to do with the VIN number. It is located on the passenger side of the engine, in an upright position at the fathermost rear part of the engine just before it mates with the gearbox bell housing. Near the oil filter. THAT is the only number to go by just in case it has had an engine change.
