This has irked me all day

At the start of the football season, i decided to deposit some funds into an online gambling account for betting. I dont gamble outwith this, no grand national, no lottery. I dont smoke, drink heavy or do anything rmotley naughty, So if this is my only vice then i apologise.
To put it into scale i wanted to deposit a whole mortgage sapping £20 into the betting account to put £1 and £2 bets on matches.
My Platinum card, from a very well known provider was declined twice online and twice over phone. A tad concerned by this knowing there was ( or should be) substantial funds available i called them.
My card had been declined by the issuer. The reason - they dont support gambling transactions.
Now people put aside your thoughts on gambling for a moment - we all have a vice or two...do you think this is correct?
If this is a precedent how long before a bank or credit card company decide they are right to, on a daily basis, decline at will transactions they believe are morally wrong...
such as ....
Buying cigarettes in tesco...DECLINED
Buying fuel from the likes of Shell who allegedly have some dodgy actions in certain continents...DECLINED
Buying goods from brands like Nike who allegedly pay a pittance to far easters workers....DECLINED
Paying for road tax on a 4x4, v6, V6 DECLINED.
As far as i am concerned how i spend my money is my business, i pay my credit card bill when it comes in so it frankly is my money.
I did have the last laugh though -I balance transfered what was on the card to another company, also used another card to deposit my funds. Tonight i am £54 up and awaiting a call to discuss moral banking ( i cant quite remember doing this when i got my banking qualifications, or when completing my Economics degree....)
So the Executive Office, of American banking giant Citibank are calling me Monday to talk it over :-/
Oh and would you believe my initial call was taken by an Indian contact centre advisor ( ironically being exploited by being paid a pittance....?
