JamesV6CDX on the job
« on: 09 August 2007, 13:21:31 »

A couple of pics of James doing my cambelt change while we were in Barnstaple last week............

I'll just keep the bonnet open with my head!!

Those bloody bagpipes are down there somewhere!!

Is it time for a beer yet?

Job well done :y

I was going to take a load more pics but the bloody camera batteries ran out after the third photo :-[

I think all of the photos I have seen and taken of James have been with him under a car under the bonnet or with some kind of car part in his hand

I bet his does not have blood it will be motor Oil running through his viens dont ask what grade that classes as an oil thread  ;D ;D

Very true! I think he's going into comepition with MarkDTM on that score ;D

I've got to say though, it's rare to meet someone so young with as much enthusiam and love of his work as much as James does - top man :y

Rrrrrrr so that's what he looks like.

I'll be meeting James soon myself, i have an Oil cooler change to be done.

In the short time i've been with OOF, James is able to pin point problems.

Its gratifying to know, someone like James, is passionate and a professional.

Well, done.

Do you need photos taken while this is being done?

Rust, my ar*e! ::)

You'd better check your VIN and engine numbers tally, I'd suspect a counterfeit -- it's not a real Omega without rust! :D

Ahhh........I didn't imply there was no rust elsewhere on the car, just not on the wing ;)

As it happens there is a few small rust bubbles appearing on the tailgate just under the rear wiper. Taxi Driver mentioned that I might still be able to get it sorted out under VX's anti-corrosion warranty but as the cars just over 5 years old I need to check how long these warranties are valid for. :-?

Anti Perforation warranty is six years I believe. Supposed to have a yearly bodywork inspection stamp in the service book though as the stealers tend not to honour the claim....

You'll need to rub some salt into that rust regularly to get it to perforate before 6 years is up!

Yep 6 years....worth a try.....mind you, i had my tailgate done under warranty (same place) and its already bubbling again nicely  >:(
Ive also got rust on one of the wheel arches where its hits the sill  :( (so check there (you need to open rear doors and its at the bottom in the corner) as well Bob if your gonna see if you can blag it at the dealers)

I'll have to take mine back and see what the dealer says  :-/
