Thinking of getting one, anyone recommend best place / contract? Or any negative views, or other recommendations? Lots of texts important, and need a small amount of cross network anyime calls..

Nice phone, and Nokia are one of the more reliable makes with good battery life. As for for where, just look on the internet as to who is offering the phone for free and take it from there. Also check who has best coverage for your area althiugh they are nearly all as good as each other these days.

N95 quite a big phone....

If its a big phone, I have an XDA Exec going cheap. XDA is a WinCE based device, rather than Symbian on Nokia.

its not so much a "big" phone, just quite chunky

T-Mobile's flext deals aren't too bad, i believe we have a mobile phone sales person within the forum somewhere

the N95 is a phone packed full of features, full spec found at nokia.com as you already know i'm sure, but the thing i find with it, and with all series 60 platform phones is that it's not the fastest phone, applications take a few seconds to load up, which isnt too much but when other standard phones react the second you press a button, you notice it!

I'm getting the E90 next month, may have to cancel my current contract and get a new one if my network can't undercut what i've seen so far

I have one at work... (i have a draw of about 50 mobiles)

Its sh!t!

Quite big, poor build for a Nokia, riddled with faults, our one crashes a lot. Someone else at work has had 2 different ones, each with a crashing problem

The built in GPS is shocking, can't get a signal in London, its compatabilty with other big Symbian programs is poo!

Battery life is crap, if switched to GSM only it picks up, still crap though. Camera is not amazing given its pixel rating, but the lens is too small so lots of colour spil.

Get a Nokia 6300..... its a phone phone, fast, easy to use. Small.

Exec is good if you want phone with VGA screen and QWERTY keyboard.  Downsides is I think its too bulky, and it seems sluggish, even in 'corporate mode'

Mine's rather arthritic, as I've filled it with crap. Have you tried a hard reset then stopping the o2 customisations from running? You get a clean device and can then run what you need from extended rom to set up as required.

T Mob don't do 2 versions you just get the full barbie pink experience  :-[ so I've unlocked my extended rom and deleted the T Mob customisations so on a hard reset it only loads the bits I want. Handy if you want a prog to install automatically after a hard reboot too.

N95 has gps receiver (shame it doesn't work with TomTom software though, bloody Nokia), as do many others (Symbian and Windows) now.

The signal is very, very week, If and when TomTom support it, signal in a car would be rubbish. Still best to use an external gps unit....
