Is there a more difficult Job
« on: 09 August 2007, 17:31:12 »

Than removal of a Vectra V6 Radiator  :o :o

2 of us, 5 hours work, hardly any breaks, and TIS on laptop .....and the air was still blue  :-X

Given up for today - the radiator is out....as is fan, air con radiator and fans hanging by a thread...

Oh and to get that far we have removed inner wing liners, front bumper, front grill, front crossmember..... and god knows how many connectors...im really worried about putting it back together...

Beer time, and also time to nurse my numerous cuts, space is of a premium in that engine bay :-/

Sounds like a real killer of a job, good on ya for getting it out today, good idea to unwind with a beer :y

The more you do the more you learn, good luck with putting it all back together again  ;) ;)

:o  :o  :o   So you're looking at around £600/700 in labour alone + the parts!!!
Not even I (who dragged a cam belt change out over a week end :-[) took that long! And that included a trip to near CapnZok for another clutch plate - that I didn't really need :( -  I didn't even have the luxury of a 4 post lift and so was crawling under the car on a crawler board  :(

I have to agree here... when it comes to maintenance, you won't find an easier job than working on Noddy's car :D
