I have a 2.0Ltr GLS which I purchased in July as a replacement for my weary old XJ6 which had to go the the grate scrap yard in the sky

The Omega had only 42k on the clock 3 owners from new and a full service history to boot! and to be quite honest it has been a good buy as I had not done any research on Omega's it was an impulse buy 'cos I needed a motor!
Had a diagnostic check done as it keeps dying at low rev's The result was the Air Volume meter on the read-out but the guy at Autolube told me that there was most probibly other contributing factors than that. He showed me the plug resesess were full of oil and that the cambox gasket was leaking and the large breather pipe was goosed. He recommed me to invest in a new gasket not forgetting the 'O' ring's new set of plugs and leads. He told me to clear out all the oil from the plug recesses before removing the plugs as to much oil in the cylinders will nacker the CAT. He concluded in telling me to clean out the inlet tract and butterfly valve as this could have some effect on the problem. That all done I still have the same problem so have invested in a new (replacement) air flow meter so will keep you posted on the progress. Enough of my gibberings so I will bid you good night TTFN
