Wow thanks for the warm welcome.
Went to see one tonite.
Nice car 2.5V6 CD spec all went well and the car was very reasonable for the money, drove well but sadly when I got back there was some smoke / steam coming from the drivers side of the bonnet. Due toa broken bonnet release it took a few minutes to get the bonnet open and by that time I couldnt see where it was coming from. The owner said that when the CATS get blocked  (which he has removed due to one getting blocked) it split a couple of pipes on that side of the engine and that he had replaced them and so it was probably burning off some oil?
Howvere I couldnt see where it was coming from so ive decided to givve that one a miss.

Still looking though and the test drive confirmed I definately want an Omega, what a lovely car to drive.

Welcome neighbour!

it was probably camcover seals needed changing.   relatively straightforward and good advice on here.  Good negotiating point though.

If only you knew how much I wish I could do that but the "hundy" is staying off the road until the engine is done and the suspension completely renewed throughout.

The car I was looking at yesterday has now sold so im back on the search again.
Getting VERY frustrated that I cant seem to find one.
