Omega era draws to a close
« on: 22 August 2007, 22:22:03 »

I have today purchased the replacement car for the wife's Omega. It is a 1982 Testarossa in roso Red with magnolia hide interior. It is in stunning condition and has had the vandal proofing carried professionally so that it now looks like a 1998 Xantia estate. very clever.

Anyway, soon to be for sale is the fastest 2.5 Estate you will find. The wife's 1999 2.5 CDX Auto Estate in silver. EVERYTHING has been done and we have used this for the last year+. I am doing the rocker gaskets this weekend, then it goes on sale. Open to offers or it goes on Ebay.

Last one is Laidbacks old 2000 Facelift CD Auto saloon in silver. Again, all done and ready for sale.

Then it is bye bye all! as I move on to new pastures.

Best of luck Fin, with whatever path life unfolds in front of you.  I have no doubt that you will apply your all to whatever now takes your interest and, undoubtedly, both you and the new centre of attraction will both benefit in the xtreme.

Haste ye back.  Your efforts here are much appreciated.

Fin,

As one who has personally benefited from your kindness and knowledge, I must say it would be a great shame if you left the forum. I appreciate that your health problems and lack of Omega ownership will likely mean that you will not be as frequent a visitor as in the past, but your input on all subjects is of great benefit to us all. So, don't disappear, mate!  :y :y

Now, I offered to take that wreck of your hands a long time ago. As the saga has unfolded, you wish you had done so and I am glad I didn't! ;D

I will post details as soon as I get back from work. It is a 1999 S reg mini facelift CDX Auto Estate, with load cover, dog guard etc. Has everything INCLUDING woking CCRT700 system! Cruise, working computer etc. 165k, BUT drives like new. Everyone who has been in it is amazed. I did everything when I bouight it on 157k last year including cambelt. tensioners, water pump, both wishbones, droplinks, brakes, gearbox fluid, you name it. SWMBO's car MUST be right!
