New Omega Owner saying Hi
« on: 27 August 2008, 22:50:32 »

Hi.

I've been a Rover 800 owner for 15 years, now I need something with a bigger boot.

Just bought my first Omega.

It's a 2001 2.2 CDX auto estate, 60k, FSH and spotless. I paid £1450 which is probably towards top end but the leather had me hooked.

Initial drive home from the auctions and I'm very pleased. It's quiet, smooth and comfortable, if a little underpowered.

The only slight niggle on the car is that the drivers door lock doesnt work off the remote, although all others do.

Is this common and worth me exploring fixing myself?

Any other things I should look for as potential problems with the Omega?

Thanks in advance, I look forward to learning quickly and contributing here.

Hi Carl and welcome to the forum ;)

The door is easy enough to sort out, its probably the central locking actuator packed up, they can easily be picked up second hand, try sending a PM to one of the lads that break Omegas in the for sale section.
