V6 Head gasket change How2 - Comments
« on: 24 August 2007, 05:19:28 »

Hi Guys,

Before my departure from the forum, I have created you a How2 for changing the cylinder head gaskets on a V6 model Omega. I didn't have much else to do on my nightshift, so I hope it's at least of use to someone.

Please have a look at this, located in either Maintenance Guides, or General Chat. I hope you find it useful, and have started this thread for any comments/improvements about the HOW2. Please feel free to edit it as you see fit.

For anyone who I have promised any V6 bits, I will still honor this, and you will have my personal email address if you need it.

I genuinely wish you all the very, very best, with an extra special thankyou going out to Dave/Laidback for being such a damn good friend.

Kind regards
James

Couldn't agree more with Fin. In amongst the mucking about that goes on there is a more serious side to this community and I always find James' posts and advice really clear and well written.

The 'How To' just posted epitomises his commitment to the cause. It almost makes me wish I had a V6.

Don't go James. Just because you haven't got an Omega anymore, you still have a vast amount of knowlege and experience and, even though I haven't met you, you are a top bloke.  :y

Thats is exactly how i feel :y :y

I feel that i slowely belong to this Forum, i talk about it at work, down the pub,at the bus stop, and when i get home, the first thing i do is turn the PC on and read all that i have missed from the day before, i love to answer threads talk to members and make people smile a bit.

As i am no Mechanic and to my shame must admit i don`t think i ever will be, i must rely on other things to keep me going on this forum, but i am learning, and i try to get little jobs done with help from exactly those Posts which you are responsible for, so for my sake and many others in my position
swallow your pride sort things out with TB and COME BLOODY BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
