Hi All
« on: 11 March 2009, 23:00:28 »

Hello Everyone

Yet another newbie, looks like a good busy forum which is what im probably going to need over the next few months/years.

My names Wayne, I live in Boston, Lincs but spent almost all my life growing up in Hemel Hempstead. I am married with 5, yes 5 kids ranging from 19 to 15 months.

I currently don't have an Omega, im on the hunt for one. Going to post a thread about one i've seen in the general section soon.

I got made redundant yesterday. I was a field service engineer on shrink wrap machinery, yep im the person you curse when you can't get the wrapper off your new DVD's. I've decided to stay in this proffession as it is all i've known for the past 14 years, problem is I was only at my last company for 5 and a bit years so the pay off is pathetic. This is why I only have very very limited funds to get something which is a)diesel, b)comfy, c)able to pull an 18 foot caravan and d) capable of adding a lot of miles in the coming year (hopefully).

The car I currently have is a Corolla Verso, less than 2 years old, 103000 miles, on its 4th gearbox but otherwise excellent.
My wife has an Audi 80 TDi Estate, cost me £200, flew through its last MOT, just put on a set of alloys with nearly new tyres on it which cost me the huge sum of £31 the set, dontcha just love Ebay!!!

So, just a little bit about me, im sure there'll be more to come.

speak soon

"Hello" and welcome  :)

There's usually some decent cars available in the "for sale" section, and all the other sections will help you keep it "decent" in the years to come...  :)

If you are looking at a non-forum car there is lots of advice available .. just ask in "general chat" ..  :y :y

Yep, had a Mazda 6 before and it was faultless but this Toyota, even though its on its 4th gearbox, is still such a brilliant car. It helps a lot when the dealers are as good as my local one. They found out when I was getting married and gave me a Landcruiser Amazon for the weekend, now thats service!!! It also helps when its not your car and someone else is picking up the tab.

It was overdue for replacment and I had actually ordered my next car. I was going for an Insignia CDTi (160). Bit gutted now to be honest as thats obviousley been cancelled.

Oh well, onwards and upwards!!!!

I realise this may be a silly question, but where is the For Sale section.

Cheers
