Newbie MG
« on: 16 April 2009, 17:48:04 »

Hi All,

My name is Mel, I am married with 2 grown up children and  live in Surrey.

We also own an MGTF (the wife's really), a Disco 3 and an old Rover 214 (now commandeered by my daughter).

Have had Elite V6 estate since new. She is now 10 years old and over the period of time I have owned her she has had very few faults (I can't re-call one for the moment!!).

I have driven the Omega down to France several times with the family and the car hasn't missed a beat.

Recently I have been doing more DIY mechanic stuff, as I did when I was a bit younger! The latest has been changing the cam belt which I have just completed (despite the rain) and will test it out in the morning. The Mark DTM video is priceless and this really gave me the confidence to get back into home car maintenance.

This site is so useful and has so many ardent Omega fans!! Been reading some of the ' how to' stuff which is very interesing and no doubt I will be making some good use of the info.

Smashing forum!

All the best.

Mel.
