Hi from a newbie
« on: 07 June 2010, 21:46:12 »

Hi everyone

New to this forum & not yet an omega owner though will be buying very soon.  Just one question- do I go for a 2.2 or 2.6 (MK2)?

2.2 looks attractive because of its lower fuel consumption and insurance but tempted by the 2.6 because of its greater power/torque.  Is there much difference in performance & fuel economy??

Look forward to joining the omega gang soon and working my way through this forum.

Cheers

Hi and welcome ..
I have a 2.2 petrol and average 27 mpg on my daily 10 mile drive to work and 35 mpg on a good long motorway run if it helps.
