Hi To you all! Introducing myself to your fantastic forum! I had bought myself a 1998 Elite about a month ago and found this forum after a good googling for as much info on Omegas as I could find lol and I didnt need to go much further as this wonderful forum has all the answers any new Omega owner could wish for lol! I've been running Capris for the last 20 years so this is a bit of a leap of faith for me lol. I have had no problems with the mechanical side so far having done the full brake overhaul with news discs and pads and the front wishbones and was pleasantly surprised by how easy it actually was but this forum has been invaluable for me in getting to grips with all the foibles of an Omega and has saved me a lot of time and head scratching so my thanks must go to all the previous posters who have given so much comprehensive info on this forum! At the moment I've got the headlights apart to replace the adjusters and I'm quite surprised at how well it has lasted and nothing too drastic needs fixing despite all the electrical gubbins involved, the only thing I need to track down now is a good automatic gearbox switch, I've checked mine out, again thanks to this forum, can I use any selector switch from across the range? The headlights stopped working leading to me taking the headlights out after finding the broken adjusters, so new bulbs will be going in and hope its not the ballast pack lol! So be warned, I will be here to pester you all if I dont find the answers I need lol! Once again, thanks for all the fantastic help I've got on here so far! Andy
