Newbie from OXFORDSHIRE looking at an Omega 2.6 V6
« on: 22 January 2011, 19:10:37 »

Any advice please, i'm looking at an 03 Reg 2.6 V6 Auto Saloon/Sedan 56K for sale at £900, seems too good to be true so probably is but any tips welcome please.

My big Vauxhall history is a Carlton 2.0 Estate years ago, loved it, did loads, and not so long ago a nice maroon Carlton 2.Oi Auto GSi with nice wheels(sad) untill something behind the light switch went dead short in the dark followed by immediate (at 60mph) total electrical failure then smoke and melting plastic dash before we had stopped. Handy big bottle of water and quick disconnect of battery stopped an inferno but ended the car(even sadder)! Rover 45 is not the same somehow although costs are obviously less. Thanks to anyone who encourages or disuades me, cheers.

Hello and a warm welcome to you! :y

You cannot go wrong with most Omega's, as long as you check their maintenence history and allow money for doing the cam belt, cam cover gaskets, etc. ;) ;)

"Hello" and Welcome :)

There are a couple of very knowledgeable members in the Oxford area.... you might be able to persuade one of them to take a look for you ???

I'm in Kidlington, 4 miles from Oxford city centre. I'd be more than happy to offer any assistance you require. Just let me know  :y
