I am sort of on the look out for a 2.5TD, I came across an ELITE TD manual - sweet (I thought)

P reg, £1k (bit steep IMO) after looking closer, it's not got climate - I smell a rat.....
So I check against car databases and - ITS A GLS!!!!

I wonder if the owners know? Hmm...

No HIDs either, beam leveller control is visible in dashboard pic. Unless they have been retro fitted.

So...

bought REAL Elite from recovery company to 'salvage' bits to make a pretend 'Elite'

Now selling a GLS TD with Bose, WRONG Steering wheel, Memory Seats (probably not even wired in), apparent 'rear' electric windows (again, probably not wired as the GLS I had never had the wiring for the rear windows when I tried fitting electrics all round), lack of climate, sunroof...

The thing thats making my piss boil now is, someone may pay top dollar for a look-a-like elite and be non of the wiser.  >:(

He can't even say he didn't know either - his feedback speaks for itself.

I have emailed him pointing out his mistake and asking him to change the listing. If he does not I will let ebay know that he is misdescribing it.

Even if he'd have said "It's been upgraded with many of the Elite extra's" it would have been acceptable.

To try and "Badge" and sell it as an Elite though, is breaching the rules of selling cars, private or busines....

So because i have MV6 seats in my 2.0L can i rebadge it a MV6 lol or because i have an auto dip review mirror and a rear sunblind can i rebadge it as an Elite  ::) ::)
