Can someone give me a few pointers on changing this belt? I looked at the front of the engine and couldn't see an obvious place to start.

15mm socket on the aux tensioner and then turn it CLOCKWISE to release tension.

WARNING

DO NOT put your finger between the belt and tensioner. It will rip your finger straight off if it slips. Use a screwdriver or similar. Once the belt is over the tensioner, release the tension and just remove the belt.

Once you've moved all the air intake stuff - invest in the cambelt dvd, it explains the stripdown that far very well . £3 well spent...

I have the V6 and even though my belt does not require changing (yet) I have still invested in one.

For what you get it is simply stunning value.  I paid my £3 by Pay Pal and the very next day it arrived in the post.

To sum up, an excellent product speedily delivered!

Even if you don't need to do cambelt, its still invaluable for removing the air intake stuff, aux belt, secondary air injection etc...

Thanks for that. I thought it must be similar to my previous car (Merc. C200) but when faced with such a compact mass of pulleys and stuff, my mind went blank!
