Does such a thing exist??
« on: 06 September 2007, 19:50:19 »

A carbon (MV6) centre facia. Pre-facelift for standard heating controls (non climate).

Are the black carbon ones only made for climate control?

Hope that is clear :D

I think the carbon fibre lookalike for MV6 is only available for climate - thats the push button type, rather than the twisty dial type....

mmmm  That's a blow. I really fancied a change. I think doing the door trims without the heating facia would look a bit silly  :(

Oh well never mind, I will just have to save and get an MV6 lol

I'm sure I've seen a carbon lookalike film in some of the car accessory shops whereby you cover whatever then shrink the sheet with a hairdryer or hot air gun.  Its pretty much what the gen thing is anyway....

Did consider that. I attempted to have a go with some brushed steel stuff and it was way too fiddly. The trouble is you have to go just to the edge of the dials as they have the settings on the actual fascia and it is hard to get perfect circles the correct distance apart. Think I'll just stick to what I have for the time being.

At present it is just black plastic, which is boring. I've got wood door trims and coin tray, so why didn't Vauxhall go the whole hog and do the fascia to match?

Somewhere on here someone has modified the climate one to fit the standard controls. Hopefully they might read this and point you in the right direction ;)
