Lambda interchangeability
« on: 17 October 2006, 10:45:31 »

Hi all, my eml is now only registering 2 codes, lambda and MAF sensor. Ive been looking at Gendan Automotive products and the lambda they list for the Omega 2ltr is also suitable for several other Vauxhalls. I'm not 100% convinced that the fault is with my lambda so the question is - will a lambda from another Vauxhall with the same multiplug work okay? I'm aware of the difference between Titania and zirconia, shame they can't be interchanged as I've got 2 universal ziconia ones in the garage  :(
I'd like to try a second hand lambda before splashing out on a new one. I'll change the MAF first as I've read that a fault here car flash up the lambda code and vice versa!

Cheers Jim

MAF and Lambda fault codes can often be caused by air leaks, either on the intake side or the exhaust manifold.

I'd double check these areas first.
