I believe there are two clips, one either side about half way up, slide in two feeler guages (or thin knives) or something similar & it should come out.

Lever out the side cover to expose the back of the headlight switch etc

Roll the blower directional thing downwards and use a thin screwdriver to lever out 1 side at a time.

To remove the top piece if needed, you need to remove the headlight switch which levers out two thin blades either side

Once out all screw needed to remove the top section should be visible

Marks DTM describes how to remove the middle vents here

I would imagine the outer ones are similar

VENT not switch you first two replies!

Two butter knives. One either side between the moving part of the vent and the shell. Vent pops out no prob.

BUT, question si why are you removing it?

Hi Finlay, I need to remove it because the fins? inside do not move when you move the control on the front of the vent, i.e from side to side.

Had same problem on nearside vent and bought one of ebay and fitted it.

I just grabbed the vent and gave it a little tug and out it came.
