At last the annoying noise is fixed
« on: 13 November 2006, 00:54:30 »

Some of you might remember my post last year about the noise that was coming from the back of the car on drivers side. It drove me crazy for few weeks and then it stopped. Last week it came back to test my temper. Today after spending about 1 hour trying to figure out what the hell was wrong and after making a big scratch on my forearm i managed to fix it. What was it. An armor-all screen wipes plastic cylindrical box which was located betwen the internal and external quarter panel between the rear door and wheel arch. Who the hell has thrown this there i don't know. I'm happy at last to have that sorted.

I got the same problems, but I know where it is coming from, the gear knob when I go above 85, never used to only since changed it to irmscher, so I have to keep slightly turning it, till it loosens again, the trun it again, was driving me up the wall till I realised what it was ;D

Put a bit of thread lock on it, should stop it unscrewing

My passenger side sun visor was vibrating at about 50mph. I swear I would have been arrested if a policeman had seen me crawling all over the car whilst trying to aim it :-[

Annoying noise on mine was the plastic door pins.   :(

Swapped for aluminum ones - nice & heavy & don't rattle no more.

I had an annoying noise in my car too. It was driving me mad. Cost me a fortune to get rid of it too.

I got divorced.  :-/

i have a couple of noises, one is the locking pins, i have to get some metal ones, the other is more annoying.....

At the end of the dash there are two big 'end caps' these have come slightly loose and vibrate against the door cards and so drive me up the wall.....

Got mine from LMF Motors - Full set for about £15 but had to drill core to allow them to fit properly - but aluminim is soft so easy done.  Irmscher ones £22 for 2 and look the same but with a little i on the top.
