The Climate Control upgrade
« on: 09 September 2007, 21:00:52 »

Earlier in the week I had the climate control software updated, I only ever use the climate in Auto mode (I'm a lazy git) and had got quite used to having the force ten gale when you return to a hot car.

Now the Auto mode is so discrete you hardly notice its running, it seems more intelligent in the way it cools the car and I think it cools it quicker than it used to before, quite how it does that when the fan seems as if it's hardly running I really don't know but I certainly wont be going back to the earlier version!

Many thanks to MDTM for doing the climate and gearbox updates earlier this week, Top Man!  :y

Thanks for the post.

I can do some of these upgrades, but as I haven't a facelift, this particular one I cannot comment on personally, so its nice to get this sort of feedback for ECU upgrades :y

Did M_DTM say what version is was? Presumably taken to V3?

i have noticed on mine that it is a lot quieter.

A couple of other things i have noticed as well, the temp seems to be more accurate now, i have to have it running at 24 degrees in order to get heat in the car currently.
Whilst the screen and feet maintain a warmth the face vents now blow cold, it brings a nice balance to the temp in the car.

This cannot be right, what ever you have the temps set on you should get that out of ALL the vents, not just the floor and screen.
