This has reminded me to buy a cheapo tech2 before I NEED a cheap tech2 ;)
so just bought 160049536957 as shown earlier....
Now did anyone ever find any better software to use with it?

I just found diag tool cheaper than the real tech 2, but not as cheap as the cheapo tech 2

with software in english.

It's the Opel Autoscanner did start a thread - could'nt find it now ???

Built in the software is some 'blackbox' software that makes a log files

which shows why the program has a problem

I sent the log file to the guy he has looked at the files shows its the USB to serial giving me trouble

It work for a while then hangs.

Will try a find the other thread again.

Many USB - Serial adapters are poor, esp newer ones. My one seems good, is badged Prolithic, but is about 3yrs old now.

No mate feel free im still watching / reading with interest and im still hoping while its running somebody might post a link for a tech 2 that'l put the airbag light out  at the right price that is otherwise ill keep checking ebay etc , by the way iggy  i do like ya pic

I think the cheapo tech2 (£40 ish from ebay) is still cheapest option. Unless you live near someone who has one....

do you think the one advertised now item 200064628156 at £27-00 will be ok/do  the job seems a fare price i asked him if it would but he replied just saying it does the 98 omega not very helpful im afraid
Or does anybody now of one better or cheaper as im afraid nobody in my area come up with out
