I thought mine needed doing urgently due to rough shifting, but then TB upgraded the firmware and all is well now.  :y

I still want to get it done though at some point of time, the car is now reaching 50k. I am still plotting a method of getting all the ATF out including from the Torque Converter - though this makes the ATF change a bit more expensive as I will need 10L of the stuff... not sure why it seems to be only sold in 1L bottles? never seen a 5L contained of ATF etc :(
The motor factor I was in yesterday had Dextron III (Coma I think) 5l bottles, £32 IIRC...

Thanks - I was quoted £7 inc. VAT per 1L bottle by the friendly parts manager at the Vx dealer (they give me standard Trade prices on items which are not on Trade Club), so at £7x5=£35 I think I'll be better off with the Vx stuff... it's still £70 just for the fluid if opting for a complete change.

Actually, it may have been £23, not £32. I seem to recall it was similar to 5 x 1l bottles, and they were a fiver a pop...

I'll double check next time I'm in there - I wasn't really paying attention...

halfords do a 5l dextron 3 bottle for £21, and i think eurocarparts do a similar price.

Although euro car parts told me i would only need 1.2 litres to refill the sump/system after completely draining and refitting the main and intermediate sump, even after i showed them the actual capacity of it (8.4l from dry, 4.4l after refitting main sump)

Am doing mine at the weekend and was thinking of taking some photo's for a guide if anyone thinks it will be useful.

(please dont confuse this with a willingness to do anyone elses for them) ; ;) ;D ::)
