The bowden cable may be different....

Which end is the bowden cable?  could i not get one from a scrapped car cheaper? or would you advise getting  a new one?

Bowden cable is cable from actuator to throttle assembly. Yes, you may get one from scrapper... ...though 2.0l ones aren't that common...

Is my 2.0 N reg CD likely to have the plug near the strut for cruise control, and everything else needed to fit it??

If so, I'm definately doing it...

It should have full loom for it, so just the normals needed (nick off cdx, but you will need to source bowden cable)

Cheers Jaime :)

No Tech2 needed on the earlier cable driven ones then?

Also what about the bit that holds the throttle cable - will that have whatever's needed to acommodate the extra cruise cable?

Yes, though remember to nick the 'E' clip off the donor.  As said, you will have to source a 2.0l bowden cable, they aren' that common.

No, they don't sound it...

If it comes to it, I may well be happy to get a VX one, because cruise is a must! No discount for TC?
