Also one of the discs had lost it spring (anti squeal? )

The disc was more gone than the pad, rubbing that way.

I was waiting for the mid to tell me i needed new pads.....i wasnt to know the fooking vx dealer snapped the sensor off and didnt bother to change it  

However new pads and disks and your safe again
