Front strut disassembly
« on: 14 March 2007, 15:06:46 »

Besides spring compressors and the spanners for them, what do I need to take the front struts apart?  It looks like a large flat screwdriver instead of an allen on the top, but what about the nuts?  Do I need special thin spanners?  Has anyone had to replace a rubber mount at the top?  (MDTM says he doesn't.)

Cheers!

Nothing to special required......just spring compressors.....

The top mount has a bearing in it....so check it for play...not a common failure point though.

OK, cheers.  I only have a cheap ASDA toolkit, I'll check what large spanners it has.
