ABS Control Box
« on: 29 March 2007, 21:30:41 »

I think my ABS box is up the duff (see my other posts). I have been offered a replacement from a slightly older car. I would like to know if it is compatable.

The last part of my VIN starts with an "X", but the unit of offer comes from a car that is a "V".

Even though it is an older car, will it work?

Does it have to be an "X" or newer then?

'W' onwards had a different ABS systems, more advanced.  Additionally, some have TC, some don't.  Safest way is to get one with same Ident code...

Paulus, I may be able to help in a few days.

I am going to be breaking a 1998 3.0 Elite. I will check the compatability...
