Splitting up/divorce is a bad time Craig, I've been through it twice. Usually, hopefully, things become a bit more amicable after the initial split. I am now on good terms with with both of my ex wives. It did take time though, and I'm afraid you do miss out on a part of the kids' lives.

I know how you feel Craig have been there, my daughter Hannah her dad has disowned her and my other  17 yr old daughter and my 14 yr old son now live with him and they have done the same thing disowned me but only because he has told them lies about me, and none of it is true, but i keep thinking one they day they will come and see me,And yes i hate him...

I got one of those Ex Wife thingies as well, we do try and keep it as calm as possible for the two children but obviously it can't always be like that, however time has calmed things down a little.

Just try and keep a level head and make sure that everything is documented (financial transactions, any access you do get in the future etc) you never know where life leads you next but at least you'll have written records if anything else happens. Remember that you do have rights as a father and they CANNOT be denied you.

Get good legal advice (first hour free) and get it ASAP!

i can sympathise with ya mate, ex's can be basta$s especially when they use a son or daughter as a blackmail/threat tool.
my daughter is nearly twelve, yet my ex is still being a twŁt most of the time.
roll on the day my csa payments stop to that twŁt and i can give some money direct to my daughter instead of funding a 60 a day smoking habit and help fund this self serving pig government.
im not bitter! yeh right............ too bloody right i am!!!!

Tried this legal advice stuff waste of time for me   If the <mother of the child doesnt want to play ball, then there is nothing you can do.
Ok you have rights yes, and pehaps legal visiting times,but what if they are not there, or she says the kids dont want too, what do you do get a social worker to go woth you at each visit?
beentrying this for 8 years, and guess how often i have seen my Daughter?

So all i can say is try to get into your wifes good books if you want to see your children, or else wait untill they are 18.
Shit advice i know,but believe me this answer has cost me Thousands in Lawyers bills.

I get the run around sometimes as well, however, in my case the ex needs me to have the children so she can go to work go out.
