whats excessive beer consumption?

I tend to get through 16-20 500ml cans of 5% lager a week is this normal?

Depends how old you are.  I'm between my 20's and a permanent beer gut so more than 1-2 a week is too many calories for me!  :'(

Moving through wine to Scotch and Vodka.  Then I can bring my alcohol intake back up to normal!  :y

Well my father in law has between 25-30 cans of bitter or guiness a week so would say thats about normal  :)
