The lower one is the 2-4-6 knock sensor and the left one is the  cam sensor......and its sad that I know that without even looking it up...

I should add that there shoudl be a metal bracket attached to one of the spare threaded hols in the photo which

a) Clips onto and supports the aircon pipe where the extra rubber sleeve is around it

b) The knock sensor connetor normaly also cable ties to it to...

It's in my tool box awaiting fixing when I have done the thermostat

I thought the left was cam sensor, the lower one has a dodgy route past the coolant transfer pipe.

I came to those conclusions too.. does that make me sad? ;D ;D

Gettting the knock sensor plug out of the cable tray is a GIT...

It changed around 97....so its not part of the cable tray assembly anymore and hence why it should be secured to the bracket...

Even sadder... why are there only two vacuum hoses? Does the 2.6 not have a vacuum valve for the air injection or is there only one pipe to the multiram?

2.6 & 3.2 Don't have air injection or EGR. My 2002 one doesn't anyway.

This keeps coming up... the 2001 sales brochure says that the V6 has 'electronic Exhaust Gas Recirculation' (whatever that means) and 'secondary air injection', though I never managed to find any trace of those either...  :o
