Dipstick
« on: 01 May 2007, 13:31:46 »

This feels like it should be an April 1st posting..

I have convinced myself that the dipstick gives a different reading depending which way round it is inserted.

If the markings are towards the engine (which feels correct) it reads about half a litre less than if I insert it with graduations pointing away from the block.

Am I cracking up?

Cheers,

Ian
