removing stored fault codes

hi all,
  wonder if someone would be kind enough to tell me the easest way to get rid of stored codes, got a draper fault code reader and the distructions say to remove the 'ec fuse for a few seconds'.now sorry folks i'm a dim wit and i'm bug*$Łed if i can find out where the ec fuse is,all i can find is in the haynes fault code manual that says disconnect the battery for five minutes. battery or fuse which is easyer.

The instructions are talking BS. Removing the fuse will not clear codes - thats the code reader's job!

Some codes will clear from 'paperclip' method a few starts after cleared, some need clearing with a code reader...

cheers mate
any idea how i shift the codes, the code reader is a draper fault finder(2 wires ,a box with a switch,presumeably standard) but the insructions are as clear as mud.the codes showing are 92 which ive got as a cam sensor and 94 hall effect sensor ???,all help would be very greatfully accepted

Oh dear.  Sounds like your code reader is just a flash paperclip  :(

OK, fixed paperclip codes should clear after a set number of clean starts, about 20 - 30 iirc...
