manual air control

Hi gents

i have a problem with my air flow on my v6 It works fine on demist but will not change over to any other setting basically its stuck on demist

now ive taken the centre console out to see if there is anything a miss and couldnt see anything all the pipes seem to be connected and the selector is working fine but now im stumped as anyone got any ideas

What year is your car? Is it air con or climate?

By the title, I'm guessing maual ;)


Check the vac pipes in the engine bay - info in FAQ section - as a first point of call....

Yep - I had this on my 2.0 - one of the vac pipes had got near a 'hot' bit that had melted a hole in it - result, no control over vent flaps.  Cured by bridging with a bit of flexi rubber (from an old Saab - always worth hanging on to bits that might come in useful ;))
