dont hold me to this  :-[

BUT

not an awefull lot ...... from what i have heard if you put 2.5 heads on a 3.0 it will heighten comprssion ratio a little .....

BUT again

I have also been told 3.0 have bigger valve's ......  :-/ and without ever having a 2.5v6 head to compare i still odnt know rea;lly.

BUT what i do know ....

3.2 heads are the same as 3.0- heads ??? :-?........ not that it helps you though.. :'(

we will see what others say..

Valve sizes are the same although the 3.0 has sodium filled exhaust valves.....the 2.5 has smaller bowls and when fitted to a 3.0 give a VERY high compresion ratio (high 11's), if the 3.0 heads are fitted to the 2.5, you would get a lower compression ratio (low 9's)

So, they are not realy interchangeable......

I think when JamesV6CDX was thinking about using his 2.5 heads on the 3.0 we calculated that the compression would end up at over 12:1  :o. This would obviously make fuel choice rather critical, might even require forged pistons and wouldn't be worthwhile on a road car but a track car is a bit of a different proposition.

It would be interesting to try it and see what the gains are, but it's not exactly a quick job!
