Hi,

I actually did it as a result of my power loss (posted earlier) as I was suspecting that the EGR might be sticking and it is causing this issue. When I took it apart it had a little dirt in it seemed OK to me. I read that in case of smaller engines (Tigra or Astra) it can cause power loss and instead of cleaning them Opel usually changes it. It did not really sorted out anything, but at least it is clear.  :) :) If you are cleaning it do it in case of cold engine and be careful with the torx at the back because it is pretty hard to access to it and even harder to make it move.   :y :y

That's very kind of you Marks DTM to go to the trouble of writing such a detailed, thorough explanation  :).

I think I just-about get it now, and will be checking it out in due course as the idle isn't 100% smooth on the lady's car.

Thanks to all.
