Yes well even my 4.4 V8 840Ci feels slow after getting off the R1.... it has almost the BHP of a 2.6 Omega, while weighing only 170Kg :D. Although maybe not in the last week in the appalling weather, quite happy to be in the "slow" V8 car with the bike safely tucked away :)

my 2.5 manual is fitted with 3.0 cams, Mtek chip, K+N replacement air filter panel with extra cold air feeds, blanked off the EGR and I'm still waiting to get some front exhaust pipes with knackerd cats so I can fab my own cat bypass pipes....it drives OK and seems fast but it makes power from the off so hard to compare...my fuel trip and mile-o-meter say 30 mpg on average.

One question...the mpg improves as I hit 85mph compared to 70mph...any one else comment on this?

This doesn't make much sense, unless the engine is much less efficient at whatever revs corresponds to 70 MPH. There is 47% more aerodynamic drag at 85 MPH compared to 70 MPH, for only a 21% increase in speed.

According to the onboard trip computer...70mph steady throttle = 29mpg average and at 85mph raises to 34-35mpg with steady throttle...same level road even run in either direction...numbers are the same? ? ? ?
