Tech2 or similar
« on: 27 July 2007, 09:35:41 »

I have an Omega 1994 2.0ltr 16v Ecotech, I Have Fault codes on it 4 off them, Now can i get some sort of machine to reset the codes, just to see if they are current or old, I have seen the chepo ones on ebay, but dont seem to work with my 94 model, anyone know of one that will, and maybe a link to one, would be nice.

Also one that will reset my srs light, as that is on too...

Thanks, Mark.  :y

Tech2 can normally deal with most systems on pre 97 Omegas, but the 2.0l ECU is a notable exception.  Tech1 is what you need. Expect to pay £400 - £700 for Tech1, but make sure you get the right lead, and the correct software cartridges.

Alledgedly the "My Naff Code Reader" may be able to do earlier cars, about £250, plus it needs a laptop...
