Which remote fob?

This may have been covered before but I don't know. If not This question relates possibly to anuone needing a new remote fob for there Omega. Can someone let me know which fob I need from the two picture's below. It's for a 1995 'M' reg 2.0 Omega.

Is it this one

Or is it this one.

My 94 had the type in your picture no.1

Actually I have never seen the type in 2. (maybe facelift?, or something else completely..?)

My 1995 M Reg has type one.

you piccies are crap!

Top one looks like IR type
Bottom looks like RF from 95 to 97
98 on cars have fob integrated to key.


The fob must match the old one in technology (IR or RF), make (Bosch, Megamos, Delphi), and model (generally match if it has LED or not)

Picture 2 is the same as the 'P' reg I had. Unfortunately when I bought the car there was no fob just the key so I need to buy a fob. So by all accounts I need to buy the the fob in pic 1. I know the piccies are a bit crap shakey hand at the time unfortunately.

Is your central locking IR type?

Well I do have a round black thing in with the sunroof control, so I take it that is the IF module.

Whilst on the subject could I change the transponder key and chip or is it to much hassle? If its easier to do this then how would I go about doing it?

No, No2 is the RF fob that came with Veccys and Omegas before they became integrate into key...
