will the auto box in my 1995 3.0l elite fit into a 1999 2.5l elite

Yes, and the 3.0 box is an ar35 which is a much stronger box then th ar25 which is in your 2.5 already.

is it just a straight swap then or is there other bits needed to make them compatable.are they the only 2 boxes that have been used
