Success!
« on: 24 September 2007, 13:59:09 »

I managed to make SWMBO not get a pug.... took her to see a 2001 X Plate Skoda Fabia 1.4, it was like new inside. First owner was a disabled guy, then a single in his 30's took it.

There was not a mark on the interior, spot less. Drove like new, same engine intertior components as the Polo, and felt very solid.

60k miles, air-con, leccy mirrors and windows, 5 door, new tyres all around.... got him down to £1,800 for it.

 :)

thanks, i was impressed by it.

My grandparents have an '04 plate VW Polo, and it felt exactly the same, 90% of the interior trim was the same, it felt as well built as the VW, very tidy car, engine was sweet as a nut.

Just hope its good for her, as i chose it. She liked it so much, she bought it then and there. She got half her family to get out cash and bring it over so she could buy it then.

We gazumpt some people who saw it first, then came back, but we were already there. So I stayed and kept the seller busy while she went off and organised the readies.

Think we got a good price, some later AT searching, most where over 2k, 2.9k at dealers for same age and spec. So pleased with 1.8  :)

The badge says Skoda, rest of the car is VW. Open the bonnet and EVERYTHING under there was VW....
