Limited Slip Diff
« on: 03 August 2007, 20:46:30 »

I have a 2.5 V6 CDX but it hasn't got a LSD fitted, is it a straight swap for an LSD out of a higher spec model?
And could some point me in the right direction of somewhere to get one from as there are none on ebay and a rough price of how much they are second hand.
Cheers Rich

LSD's weren't on the options list unless you also stipulated a blue light for the top of the car!  ;D So you're looking for a white scrapper in the breakers yard.  :y

I've also got a 3 Door Cosworth and a E28 528i so I miss the the fact the Omegas the only one without an LSD.
I'll have to keep my eye out one.
Cheers

They were an option on the later cars obviously, the one on mine was an option. The diesels didn't come with traction control so some mat have been spec'ed with LSD's so worth checking with breakers etc.

Sounds Good, so will an Omega C LSD go straight into a Omega B?

No such thing as an Omega C, never was, and sadly looks like there never will be  :'(

But, to answer your question, a facelift and prefacelift Omega B can swap diffs.
