Jobs sites
« on: 27 September 2007, 15:04:48 »

Hi guys,

Does anyone know any good websites where jobs are advertised? I am possibly looking for a change, and looking to work in the Gloucestershire/Bristol Area, and possibly as far as Newport (south wales).

Cheers :)
James

Can't guarantee that will be a firm offer, it's still conditional to further interviews and tests.

Need to explore other options in my current field, for contingency reasons etc.

Currently work in IT, but I'm open for a change, if the Police thing doesn't work out.

I'd consider working for Vx, but I'm not sure what their requirements are, or if I'm up to the standard they would require.

I'd also probably take a big salary cut while training...

 ;D

You're joking, right? Overqualified by a large margin IMHO!

You'd have to throw away all your torque wrenches and locking kits and buy a large wooden club.

Well why not try this?

Go to Skippers/Bicknells/other VX dealer ect and ask them!

Say what you have done, and see if they would take you on.

BUT - you have no official training and would be taken on as an apprentice and I think they would consider you too old. You would also get paid next to nothing.

Afraid to say unless you are prepared to take a pay cut you are stuck in IT.

Is Gloucestershire still big for IT?

Actually what are your IT experiences?

http://www.jobserve.com

Excellent I.T site for jobs

I got my job here from them.

unlike other sites you do not spend hours registering useless information.

Create a covering letter and CV

See a job you like, attach the cv, attch the covering letter. bam done.

Easy to apply, lots of I.T listed

use  search string like ISP cheltnham

Your standards would most likely drop also
